Dewclaw yelped as a briar snagged in her gray tabby pelt as she zipped through the bushes. She gave a grunt and threw herself out of the nasty bushes, losing a few hairs while at it. Once free, she padded out of the bushes, shaking her fur to get rid of any stray leaves or berries that might have fallen on her. The pretty tabby then padded into view of the Tree Stump. Perfect. Her thinking place. The femme kept walking till she was right next to it, then jumped up onto the top of it. Dewclaw flipped onto her back and watched the clouds. Her blue gaze drifted leisurely across the sky as she basked in the delicious warmness from the sun. Here she had thinking space. Her mind wandered and she thought..and thought...and thought....and then realized she was a bit lonely and wished she had brought a friend with her. The pretty she-cat sighed and then continued watching clouds.

Lightfoot's paws skimmed across the ground, barely sweeping the green grasses. The tom had been named for both his creamish fur, and his amazing agility and speed. He was much more of a WindClan cat that a RiverClan one, but he could swim like the best of them. He was just arriving at the Tree Stump, hoping to catch something for the Clan, when he saw Dewclaw. His heart did a jig. He had sworn to never love again...why did he become so flustered when he saw the pretty cat? And then, something on the wind, Live, love, laugh. The past will not change, but the future is yours, my dear Lightfoot...
Springtail approved of his crush!

Dewclaw's eyes darted to the side as she heard a rustle in the bushes. Lightfoot stepped into view. Dewclaw sucked in her breath and sat up quickly. Nuts, why did she like that crazy tom so much? Everyone knew he was still mourning his old mate, and yet... The silver tabby exhaled slowly and calmly, then jumped off the stump. "O-Oh, hello, Lightfoot!" She meowed brightly, tripping over her words a bit. She walked over to him and sat down on the ground. "I just came here hoping for a bit of peace from all those crazy cats back in RiverClan. Would you like to relax and recover from the stress of everyday life?" The she-cat asked the cream-furred tom with a smile.

Lightfoot smiled, taking a minute to process his words; he didn't want to stumble over them and burst out saying his true feelings! Although that was what he wanted to do, he couldn't, not yet, at least. He hoped that Dewclaw liked him, but who would lke him? He knew he was sad, and could be a miserable cat to hang out with. "Sure, I'd love to." He looked to the sky for a moment. "I used to always do this, but Clan life has been so busy lately! So, how's everything going?"

Dewclaw bit her lip in an attempt not to blabber. "Oh, it's been, uh, umm, fine. Nothing really new to report, just same old same old. It's just so chaotic and busy over there I decided I needed to come over here to think, and I was just waiting for a ma-friend to come join me," the silver tabby said, blushing at her little mistake at almost saying mate instead of friend. She cursed herself silently and flicked the tip of her tail back and forth.
