Silverclaw crept stealthily into the Ivy draped hollow and tasted the air. As she drew in air, she recognized the scent of a thrush, and she gazed at her surroundings with her crystal clear blue eyes, until she spotted it trying to tug a worm from the earth. She silently crept up on it until she was so close that she could see the details of the design on every feather, and then she pounced. She landed with the bird square between her paws ans killed it quickly with a blow to the head. She set the dead bird in a thick clump of grass and tasted the air again. This time she could detect all the normal scents of the forest, but above all, she scented another cat. She breathed in again to see who it was. *Anyone can be the cat she scented*

Lightfoot quickly stepped across the ground. His fur was sticking to his body, for the wind that day was strong. His ears were pinned back, trying to block out the howling sound. The tom whisked his way across the twig-strewn ground. He could sense that he was not alone, Annoyed, he growled softly. How was he supposed to hunt when there might be another cat around to scare away all the prey?

Silverclaw whisked around, her fur fluffed out as she heard a growl behind her. She relaxed her pelt though, when she saw that it was only Lightfoot. Unfortunately, he looked agitated that she was there. What's his problem? She thought to herself. Then she remembered. This was the tom who had lost both his mate and his kits, and he had never really recovered emotionally from it. She felt a pang of sorrow and stepped toward him. "I'm sorry Lightfoot," She mewed quietly," Would you like me to go hunt somewhere else?"

Leopardclaw silently padded into the hollow. She was hoping to catch a vole or two for Riverclan. They had quite a few kits, so they would need as much food as possible for the suckling queens. Then, she saw Lightfoot and Silverclaw talking. Leopardclaw didn't hear anything they said, so she hoped that she wasn't interupting something important. If she had a mate, she wouldn't want to be interupted. But she didn't... And Leopardclaw doubted Lightfoot could have a new mate so soon after loosing his last one.

He flushed a bit, but luckily no one could see. His skin was covered by fur! "No, no-I'm sorry. Feel free to stay here." Lightfoot stammered. "So...what's up?" He poked at a few blades of grass with one yellowish paw. "How's the prey running?" He smiled, attempting to make up for his rudeness.

Silverclaw greeted Leopardclaw before turning back to Lightfoot and replying," The prey's running fine with me. Would you two like to hunt with me?" She turned to Leopardclaw so she knew that she meant her as well. Silverclaw notices that it looked like the tom was regretful of being rude, so she tried to show that she didn't mind by being extra cheerful.

Lightfoot smiled. "That's good." Hearing her offer to hunt, he nodded enthusisticly. "Sure! I'd love to!" He, like Silverclaw, was trying to be extra cheerful. "I've been meaning to catch a few fish, but I haven't been about to move my lazy tail."

"Okay, great!" replied the silver tabby. "Do you want to hunt here or go somewhere else?" She contemplated all the places for hunting as she batted at a leaf on the ground with a silver paw. *Sorry, there's not much to say...*

Leopardclaw thought for a second. Then she remembered something. "One of the warriors told me that there are quite a few fish upstream because they are getting stuck in the shallow, rocky part. Maybe we could get some fish there," she offered.

Ebonystar crept out of the camp. He went down to the river, to catch some fish. He opened his mouth, and he scented fish, mouse, a stale dog scent, and...other cats. He crept silently over the damp ground, making no sound. He stood behind the leaves to see Lightfoot, Silverclaw, and Leopardclaw. He then sighted a mouse, creeping up with his tail lashing, making no sound. He pounced as the mouse heard him and killed it with a swift bite to the neck. He was hungry, but it was against the warrior code to eat. He buried it and went over to the other RiverClan cats. "Hey, Leopardclaw!" He had a secret love for the she-cat, whom he had told no-one.
[ooc: I PMed you, Leopardclaw, about the mating thing. Ebonystar really needs a mate. XD]

Leopardclaw was startled at first by the noise of the mouse being killed, but she then saw it was just Ebonystar. Relax Leopardclaw, it's just the leader. Not a wolf or badger she reassured herself. "Oh, hello Ebonystar. How's the hunting?" she polietly asked her leader. Leopardclaw was ready to go hunting, so maybe they could invite Ebonystar along too- the more the merrier!
Ooc: Yeah. I replied to it =)

"Fine," he answered. He hoped he hadn't sounded too rude. "Yours?" Without waiting for an answer, he meowed again, "Mind if I join the patrol? The Clan could use some more fresh-kill." He twined his tail around his mate's, Leopardfur's, tail: he purred loudly, then embarassed as the cats turned to look at him.
{ooc: Thanks. Too cheesy? XDD}

Ooc: Could they get to know each other first, before they become mates? If not, than thats okay too.
Bic: Leopardclaw meowed, "Yeah, of course you can join this patrol." Leopardclaw looked at the other two cats, to see if they would protest, but she doubt they would protest about the leader hunting with them.

{ooc: I don't really care, want a roleplay between them later? I'll create the thread. =)}
"Thanks," he meowed. He saw Leopardclaw glance at the other cats. As they walked away, he turned to walk beside Leopardclaw and whispered, "Everything alright?" He waited for a response from her.

Ooc: Huh? What do you mean?
Bic: Leopardclaw looked at Ebonystar. She said, "Yeah, I'm fine," but she wasn't quite sure if she was fine. A lot was going through her mind lately.
