Darkstar looks as if the night swallowed her up and spit her back out again. She is black as midnight with long, silky fur. Her eyes are pools of amber, like those of little pebbles. Her claws are not just long, they are also white. Those claws are deadly when unsheathed.The whiskers on her black muzzle are white in contrast to her black pelt. Darkstar has large ears that can pick up sounds from far away. She has a battle scar on her left flank, pink and white on her dark body. Her body is lithe, and small. She is much tinier than the other cats of her age, yet she is strong and ferocious. Her muscle-tight body sparkles in the moonlight as her silky pelt is touched by it. She is beautiful and poised, and always graceful in her posture.

ShadowClan cats are thought of to be mean and cruel. Darkstar changed that. She is caring and compassionate, but she is still very proud. The ShadowClan leader thinks that they are the best Clan in the forest, and is trying to prove it all the time. She possesses all the characteristics of a good leader: wisdom, strength, and endurance. Her wisdom helps guide her Clan through tough times. Her strength helps win her Clan battles and land. The endurance that she has makes her never back down from a battle, so usually they fight to the death. She cares for her Clan, and will take care of them if the medicine cat is not around. These characteristics make her a great leader.

Kithood:
When Darkkit was born, she was very quiet, and did not like to interact with other kits. She only spoke to her mother. When her mother died, she went through a sad stage of her life, when she didn't talk to anyone. She was very curious though, and loved to get in to stuff that wasn't supposed to be messed around in.

Apprenticeship:
As Darkpaw, apprentice to Topazwing, she worked her hardest. Darkpaw fought and hunted with amazing skill, and became a warrior easily. She still didn't talk very much, but her words were expressed in her actions.

Warriorhood:
When Darkpaw became Darkbattle, her morale skyrocketed. She started to talk to other warriors, and they talked back. She made friends many friends, too. Her fighing and hunting skills increased, thanks to the help of the other ShadowClan cats. She cared for the lives of
others, and fought with loyalty to her Clan.

Deputyship:
When Darkbattle became deputy, ShadowClan was at its highest point. The Clan prospered. Many kits were born, and apprentices became warriors. Darkbattle fought her hardest and hunted her best, so that one day, she could be the best leader she could be.

Leadership:
When the leader before her, Thornstar, died, Darkbattle became Darkstar. She leads her Clan with grace and wisdom, fuelled by her proud nature. They won battles and the Clan prospered. But what comes up must come down. The Clan reached their low point with only a few warriors and a few kits. Now, Darkstar is leading her Clan through tough times with all the enthusiasm and help she can get.

"Darkbattle will be the new deputy of ShadowClan." Thornstar mewed with sadness for his old deputy who had died a few hours before. A young she-cat in the back of the Clan gathering looked up from her paws. "Me?" she said, surprised. "Yes you!" Thornstar said happily as he greeted his new deputy. "There must be a mistake! I can't be deputy! What about the other older warriors?" Darkbattle mewed, still perplexed upon hearing the news. "I could have chosen them... But I chose you." Thornstar said, amused by the new deputy's answer. "You are the one I want to be deputy."
